ELLE Arabia – Sakina Paris

Ever since I joined the Sakina Paris team, I have been photographing inside the atelier besides being Sakina’s assistant. This week we planned a special photoshoot: a digital and printed article for ELLE Arabia. Lucky me, Sakina wanted me to take her portraits. Our lovely make-up artist Nora Kourkis from Sweden joined us for the shooting day, and created the most beautiful make up on Sakina.

Photographing and filming are two jobs close to each other. Sakina gave me the chance to edit the video, even though I had no experience in editing. The video is filmed by Manuel Laurent, and the interview is filmed by me.

You can read the article (in Arabic) here.

Chantilly Rallye d’Aumale 2017

The weekend of 9 april 2017 couldn’t be better by visiting the Polo & Rally event in Chantilly together with my friends and new teammates of polo Team Architects. A perfect Sunday with no clouds, only blue sky, relaxing atmosphere and stunning outfits walking by while watching the polo match and the oldtimer cars arriving from their rally concours. A bottle of cold champagne is popped open after the picnic lunch. How much fun was this day! I feel happy and blessed. When we drove back home to Paris, we listened to Take on me – Aha and to the following song of Nina Simone:

Please listen this while watching the photos.

Buly 1803

Parfum has always been a mystery for me. It’s definitely an art of aesthetic and will characterize the person. Buly 1803 is a parfum house based in the 6th arrondissement in Paris. The moment I walked in, the staff welcomed me friendly to this historic and absolutely beautiful store. The parfumes smell amazing and it made me want to buy one. The lovely assortiment of oils, candles and other products are also available on their website, which is in both French and English (smart move, Buly 😉 ) I’m in love with the store; the decor, the friendly staff, the quality of the products, the classical music and of course, the parfum.

Square Gabriel Pierné

Square Gabriel Pierné

Everyday I’m walking to the atelier and back. It’s a 45 minutes walk and I’m crossing Saint Germain des Près and other lovely areas. This little park-corner called Square Gabriel Pierné became so beautiful when the blossom trees start blooming. The sunlight, blue sky and the light buildings and the top of Institut de France in the background makes the perfect setting.

Parisian winter walk

Paris Paris Paris Paris Paris Paris Paris  Paris  Paris Paris

Paris  Paris  Paris Paris Paris Paris Paris Paris   Paris

This was my first weekend alone in Paris since I moved here. I love to scroll down the Parisian streets and to photograph the beautiful city. It was a cold and grey day. Photographing the architecture is then great to do; no trees that will block the sight by their leaves. But these winter days are allright for just 1 weekend. I can’t wait for the spring to start; blossom trees and green plants growing. Also a blue sky would make the photos look more happier. Anyhow, I’m back to be in Paris.
