Roses in Palais Royal

When my sisters visited me for the weekend, we were running between rain showers to see the best spots of Paris. Palais Royal is always a lovely place to see because of it’s light architecture and flower garden. This time we were lucky enough to run into a rose garden. It was miraculously empty so it was only the three of us walking in this garden. It were the colours, the smell of the rain, the light and the roses that reminds me of my mother, who would have loved this place too. It also reminds me of this photo; Claude Monet in his garden.

Faby Fabulous

Meet my dear Fabienne! We call her Faby, but I think it’s pretty awesome that she is called fab. So for me she’s Fabulouso, Faby, Fab. I LOVE IT. Our heart is melting while we are walking through Saint Germain, talking about our passion for this city. We scrolled by a little band, La Plance A Dixie, yes the very French one at the corner at Deux Margots. We loved it so much that we both bought an oldschool cd. Yes, I still buy cd’s and I love it to have a collection of memories. Music brings people together. Faby and I had more drinks, more talks and ofcourse, my camera was also invited.

Please check her fabulous website, if you are as much in love with Paris as we do!

Wedding in Paris at the Shangri-la hotel

A winter wedding, in the heart of Paris. Honestly, I made a little jump in the air when Safia and Reda asked me to photograph their wedding. It was always be my dream to photograph a wedding in Paris, and this one would be my first one! During our phone call, I already liked Safia. She is very kind and sweet, and wanted me to have a nice day too. And when I saw her wedding dress, I was even more exited for the day. She wore a dress with blue heels like Carry (for all the Sex And The City lovers)! With the flowers in her hair, and the little white fur coat, I was so in love with her outfit. The day could start, and I was very happy.  After the ceremony, the group of friends and family went to the Shangri-la hotel for a lunch and photo session.

Paris Shadow Series | Part I

The city of light, is how we also call Paris. It’s a city where the sun is making a special ambiance on the Haussman styled city. She light is pointing out what is beautiful, but also marks the objects which makes Paris so special with shadows. Since I discovered the power of these shadows, I’m looking differently to light. And as you know me, I have to take a photo it. Because it’s just very very beautiful in it’s own way. To be continued…

ELLE Arabia – Sakina Paris

Ever since I joined the Sakina Paris team, I have been photographing inside the atelier besides being Sakina’s assistant. This week we planned a special photoshoot: a digital and printed article for ELLE Arabia. Lucky me, Sakina wanted me to take her portraits. Our lovely make-up artist Nora Kourkis from Sweden joined us for the shooting day, and created the most beautiful make up on Sakina.

Photographing and filming are two jobs close to each other. Sakina gave me the chance to edit the video, even though I had no experience in editing. The video is filmed by Manuel Laurent, and the interview is filmed by me.

You can read the article (in Arabic) here.

P.s. We are proudly organizing Sakina’s debut at Beirut Fashion Week in Libanon!
