Polo Gala 2017 – École Militaire

The Association Polo des Grandes Ecoles et Universités was hosting a gala at École militaire in Paris. It was a beautiful mix of military and polo playing guests. It was a pleasure to capture this evening with my friends in photos. Everybody was dressed up so well an people were enjoying their time dancing on the dance floor inside or walking around in the garden.

Prix de Diane 2017

Prix de Diane is one of the greatest events I’ve been to. Together with my friends, I went to these horse races. Wearing a head is obliged for woman, so it was time to buy a great head and to not be shy wearing it. I adore woman who dress up well, and a head is such an elegant and artistic expression of fashion. I’ve never seen so many people together dressed up so elegantly. I could definitely recommend fashion lovers to go to Prix de Diane at Chantilly, France to observe these amazing styles between watching the horse races.

It was very warm today, so unfortunately I didnt photograph a lot. I hope I can be there next year, because I love horses and the special events around it (like the polo match in Chantilly and The Netherlands)

In Cannes with Sakina Paris

During our lovely stay in Cannes with Sakina Paris (read more about our project or Cannes), we got a lot of inspiration. Cannes Film Festival is one of the biggest red carpet events in the world and many people are visiting Cannes to get the festival feeling. Spotting the loveliest dresses on the red carpet and meeting new people or even better: meet people you already know! We’ve met Lea in Libanon during Sakina’s fashion show in Beirut. She is a true Libanese beauty and such a nice person to have around. Together with Nora Kourkis, absolutely amazing makeup artist, and Sakina, we went to the harbor of Cannes to shoot two dresses in this glamorous Côte d’Azur setting. It was such an great shoot to do; we had so much fun. Can’t wait for next year’s Cannes Film Festival.

The Making Of A Dress

For the last two months, I’ve been working on this project ‘The Making Of A Dress‘.  It is my very first full video I’ve ever made, after I’ve been doing some tests to get the video making skills. Sakina and I adore the old Hollywood style and we wanted to create a black and white video for her special and glamorous project, in collaboration with Marie Claire Arabia. Sakina designed an Haute Couture dress for French actress Hafsia Herzi, who was on the red carpet of Festival de Cannes for the closing ceremony.

Or watch it on the Marie Claire Arabia website here. (They added a white filter on the video for the Arabic subtitles)

Roses in Palais Royal

When my sisters visited me for the weekend, we were running between rain showers to see the best spots of Paris. Palais Royal is always a lovely place to see because of it’s light architecture and flower garden. This time we were lucky enough to run into a rose garden. It was miraculously empty so it was only the three of us walking in this garden. It were the colours, the smell of the rain, the light and the roses that reminds me of my mother, who would have loved this place too. It also reminds me of this photo; Claude Monet in his garden.
