It was a big pleasure to photograph and film the backstage of Greek designer Celia Kritharioti. It was Paris Couture week and the Spring/ Summer collection of 2018 was being presented to the press. An historical hotel where Gabriëlle Chanel used to live for 35 years. It’s based on the iconic Place Vendôme in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. The hotel has been renovated between 2012 and 2016, and I’ve never visited since it’s re-opening. And did you know that Ritz has a secret tunnel, so that the famous guests can come and go without being seen?

Yesterday, 22 January 2018, Celia Kritharioti presented her latest Haute Couture collection during Paris Couture week. The show was held in the historic Ritz hotel. Celia is a Greek designer, but presents her collection often in Paris. I took backstage photos; where models get their make – up and hair done, and where they change the dresses.

It was a rainy day in Paris during Couture week. I just arrived at the Ritz hotel to photograph a fashion show. I haven’t seen Ritz since they opened again their doors. The hotel where Gabrielle Chanel once used to live. At the moment I was checking out the light with my camera, Russian fashion designer Ulyana Sergeenko walked by. I was lucky enough to photograph her while she was turning her head perfectly for the photo.
It’s couture week in Paris. Fashion lovers are running around Paris to see the latest collections of fashion designers from all over the world. Haute Couture is my favorite departure in fashion because of it’s artistic point of view. It is all hand made by real craftsman.
Sakina Paris presented her new Haute Couture collection ‘Le Cygne Noir‘ this evening at The Westin hotel. It’s an black swan inspired collection.
