This week I’m in Dubai, UAE, with Sakina Paris to capture her journey these days. This photoserie below is taken on a beautiful yacht on a sunny day. French television M6 is making a documentary about big weddings in the Middle-East and Sakina is making the dress for the bride. Together with the bride we went on this beautiful yacht to see Dubai from the water perspective. We had the loveliest time together. Also talented make-up artist Nora Kourkis joined us during these days in Dubai.
Najlaa and James had their dream wedding in Versailles, next to Paris. The lovely couple invited a small group of friends and family who went after the ceremony to a lovely restaurant to have a lunch. It always feels better to meet the couple before the wedding. We did, we met on the wedding of Safia and Reda! And we are living in a small world; James used to live in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, the tiny village I’m from.
Strolling through Paris with my camera is what I adore! Especially the sunday morning’s are my favorites. It’s calm because nobody is outside till +/- 11:00. The perfect time for me to take photos. Especially for places with a lot of tourists like Montmartre. The sun is still rising, so the light is gold and perfect! Saint Germain is my favorite area because it’s always calm and very beautiful.
Sakina have been working on her first bag collection for the last 6 months. I’ve been filming the whole proces, and made this making of video, which is recently published by ELLE Arabia. Read here the article on Sakina’s website about the presentation during Paris Fashion Week. Scroll down to see the photos I took of the collection.
