Chantilly Rallye d’Aumale 2017

The weekend of 9 april 2017 couldn’t be better by visiting the Polo & Rally event in Chantilly together with my friends and new teammates of polo Team Architects. A perfect Sunday with no clouds, only blue sky, relaxing atmosphere and stunning outfits walking by while watching the polo match and the oldtimer cars arriving from their rally concours. A bottle of cold champagne is popped open after the picnic lunch. How much fun was this day! I feel happy and blessed. When we drove back home to Paris, we listened to Take on me – Aha and to the following song of Nina Simone:

Buly 1803

Parfum has always been a mystery for me. It’s definitely an art of aesthetic and will characterize the person. Buly 1803 is a parfum house based in the 6th arrondissement in Paris. The moment I walked in, the staff welcomed me friendly to this historic and absolutely beautiful store. The parfumes smell amazing and it made me want to buy one. The lovely assortiment of oils, candles and other products are also available on their website, which is in both French and English (smart move, Buly 😉 ) I’m in love with the store; the decor, the friendly staff, the quality of the products, the classical music and of course, the parfum.

Le Brebant

One day, my friend Margarita showed me this lovely restaurant. I was immediately impressed by the interior. An exotic ambiance made me come back this weekend to photograph this place with my Canon camera. Typically French cafés and restaurants are very beautiful, but I also like places as this one. You can see that an interior designer designed this restaurant. It’s located on the Grand Boulevard and it has a lovely terrace too!

Everyday I’m walking to the atelier and back. It’s a 45 minutes walk and I’m crossing Saint Germain des Près and other lovely areas. This little park-corner called Square Gabriel Pierné became so beautiful when the blossom trees start blooming. The sunlight, blue sky and the light buildings and the top of Institut de France in the background makes the perfect setting.

It was a weekend of rain and sunshine. I started this sundaymorning with a meeting at Trocadéro, the place to photograph yourself with the Eiffeltower. Crowded as it was, the view never gets bored. I had a meeting, worked on my laptop, and went out for walk. It was raining, but softly. And then, the sun came secretly through. So; we had sun and we had soft rain. I felt like I was playing in a movie. When I arrived home, the clouds disappeared and the sun came through and shined perfectly into my little apartment.
